I have a vest ready to cut out. Pants: I am going to take waistband off a pair of pants And try the front and back seams. Wish I had thought of doing the princess seams for the pants. Thanks so much for sharing

Before I discovered Sure Fit Designs I avoided princess seams altogether because I could never get them to fit. Lately I've been experimenting with princess seams using my body blueprint and have been very happy with the results. This FREE course couldn't have come at a better time for me! I have had the Sure Fit Dress Kit for some time and have made the odd garment, but, over the past year I have been doing sewing other than dress making and so needed to retake measurements- we all change ! I wanted to make a princess line cocktail dress for a wedding I am going to and the only pattern I had was one from 1988, as with so many of us figure weight distribution DOES go south for the winter! I could not grade this pattern to fit me at all! So, I bought the basic introductory course as a refresher for taking measurements ; I also have the other kits; and saw this free course within the Sure Fit Academy online! Wow, very easy to follow, my drawing skills are not as good as I would like but even I could do this! My test bodice and skirt blueprint muslin was a perfect fit with no tune ups, my very precise husband took the measurements, so I will be designing and making a muslin for my special dress!

The Princess Line Perfection Master Series was very complete and easy to follow. Once completed, you will feel confident to design the perfect princess line. It's a great alternative/option for those that reluctant to tackle darts. The instructions for the back princess seam was also very complete and easy to follow. Since my back bodice includes a shoulder dart, I was pleased to see that was addressed and had instructions included. The lesson that introduces the "no side seam" concept was something that I never even thought of doing. Interesting design idea. The final lesson addressing princess seams for pants is also something I had never thought of doing. I'm still not 100% sure on that design, but it is something that I want to try. Time will tell, but a great design alternative, especially when it enhances the fit of pant.

I just finished watching the entire video on princess lines. What an informative video. I have never seen this design detail explained so clearly, concisely and thoroughly. I am now looking forward to constructing Princess line garments. Thanks so much Glenda.
